During diving missions it is not necessary to monitor the oxygen level in your rebeather while in real life a missions duration, etc is limited by the time the rebreather is usable. Having to monitor the oxygen level would add an extra challenge to mission planning and execution while also increasing realism. The no oxygen effect could start when the rebreather runs out.
