When you type in ingame chat (no matter which one) it will always trigger your compass or watch, when you press O resp. K.

I need to correct myself, it happens NOT all the time, but occasionally. I'll try to narrow it down.

Result

It happens when you already triggered compass/watch to stay permanently on screen. With this condition, typing in ingame chat triggers these items.

It actually happens also when you've neither item triggerd to stay permanently on screen, but not all the time. Tho, it is easy reproducable.
