Playing around with some mission ideas I found that a uniform can not be stored in a backpack when taking it from a crate.

The backpack inventory list turns white indicating that you can drop the uniform and the backpacks status bar indicates how much space the uniform would take up. But when you drop it in the box nothing happens.
