Description

AI controlled helicopters are incompetent at killing each other and ground targets.
I set up two bluefor and two opfor helicopters in the editor and watched them dogfight with each other. Constantly firing at each other but seemingly never landing a hit. I even set the bluefor pilot skill all the way up. The only time any of the helicopters went down was when a bluefor and opfor helis crashed into each other.

I also set up a bluefor rifle squad on the runway with opfor helicopter waypointed at my squad's location with a seek and destroy order. After five minutes of flying over us without firing or firing and missing my entire squad was still alive.

Steps To Reproduce

Start the Editor.
Choose Stratis.
Insert a Rifleman AT as Player (BLUFOR/Blue/Men/Rifleman (AT)).
Insert 2 bluefor (armed) helicopters flying at one end of runway.
Insert 2 opfor (armed) helicopters flaying at the other end of runway.
Assign way points to meet in the middle.
Click on the Preview button.
Observe dog fight and lack of effectiveness

Or
Start the Editor.
Choose Stratis.
Insert a bluefor Rifleman squad with player as leader.
Insert an opfor (armed) helicopter with a 'seek and destroy' waypoint on the bluefor squad.
Click preview button.
Order player's squad to hold fire.
Observe ineffectiveness of opfor helicopter on it's attack runs.

AI lethality in helicopters has been significantly improved. Considered fixed.
