I believe if you increase the quality of sound if not up it a bit. It can bring people deeper into the game. Standing behind a rock as rounds impact doesn't even make me feel like I'm paintballing with the crack and wizzing of rounds passing by.
If you can even animate it to the were rounds broke branches, kick around shrubbery, add in granulated impact from bullets hitting the dirt, bullets fragmenting off concrete/metal, eroding k rails of concrete, etc. If you actually feel like your bullets are destroying objects and tearing up the terrain. The crack and wizzing of them zinging past you. Would immerse more people into the game. Including me.
