I think it would be a lot better if when you were driving and your engine got shot up (like what just happened in the hunter when I was playing a few minutes ago) and your indicator goes solid red, letting you know your engine is toast, if white smoke leaked out from under the front and sides of the hood. It doesn't have to be clouds of billowing smoke, just enough that you can see it, white would probably be better, but something to make it seem like your engine is cooked.

The pic's may be a little much smoke, but... whatever. A sound would be good too.
