If you handle over controls between pilot and co-pilot more than once it will happen than the pilot OR the co-pilot at a certain point will stop "syncronizing" with the current helicopter position while he is NOT controlling (the other guy is) it.
If the you handle controls over to the person that is out of sync (basically stuck in midair without moving in the helicopter and unable to do anything) you will be "teleported" back to where he is stuck.

Steps To Reproduce
- Get in a helicopter as pilot and get a friend as copilot
- Start flying
- Handle over controls to the co-pilot
- Co-pilot now should handle over controls back to the pilot
- Do steps #3 and #4 multiple times. Bug should occour around the 6th time

Yes, I've noticed this bug and It has happened straight away for me not after repeating several times.
This is what I did:
Friend was pilot I was in co-pilot seat. He unlocked the controls and I used the take controls option. Flew around for a few moments, handed him back the controls and the helicopters was frozen in mid air for me and other passengers. However the pilot would still see himself as flying.

Yes this happens alot and renders the "hand over controls" feature useless. To bad since its a great feature!

We were trying to reproduce but on actual version it seems ok. If you have latest update; please try to reproduce that and let us know if the problem is still actual.
One hint: Wasn't that when you were playing "Escape for stratis" mission?
