Icon to to pick up gear not showing when near a vehicle

Description

When you are near a Vehicle the Icon to pick up / change gear does not always show, you have to walk away from the car and try again. This happens alot to me

Might be worth looking into

I think this is an old ARMA2 issue where you have to be in a specific directon for every vehicle to make the gear show. I can confirm that the gear menu in ARMA3 is also bugged like you described...

yes a specific location near the car to pick the gear up is needed
even when I am at the right spot it doenst always show
