I just bought the game and downloaded it from steam but it will not open properly.
I've tried updating to the latest drivers for my graphics card (GeForce GTX670 2GB) and it still won't work.
So,
This is the process I have tried to launch the game:
- Open Steam as admin
- Launch Arma 3 Alpha
- Click Play (Tried in windowed mode option too)
- No Arma 3 logo/splash screen appears
- No blackscreen
- Simply nothing
- Check Task Manager and the Arma 3 .exe is there but it freezes at around a certain memory usage and then will close. The last 5-6 times I've tried it has frozen at around 7,500K memory usage and then will just proceed to disappear from my task manager window.
Note: I have launched the game earlier today and it worked and I play the Helicopter mission and it ran really well. I'm very happy with the performance and the game itself looks amazing :D
Note 2: I've tried; running steam as admin and non-admin and running the arma3.exe from my steam directory as admin and non-admin, still no luck. I've also tried reinstalling my drivers and completely removing drivers and reinstalling the latest drivers. Nothing seems to be working.
Note 3: I've also tried disabling, fraps, dxtory and msi afterburner and all other programs that may interfere so that my task manager only shows up the essential windows programs, steam and arma and it still won't even show up a splash screen/logo before the game loads.
