Feedback participants NOT USING SEARCH FACILITY and making ENDLESS DUPLICATE POSTS
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Faulty participant AI routines and shoddy brain programming resulting in approximately 70% of posts being duplicates of earlier issues.

This has the effect of the feedback tracker becoming unmanageably bloated and difficult to navigate...making the dev's job harder as they may miss really useful and intelligent posts.

In the end the game won't be as good as it could be.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Read all 3000 post headings as I've just done. Gasp in awe at the sheer number of 'can't shoot through windows' and 'get stuck in rocks' and 'weapon recoil' posts that repeatedly appear.
  1. Become despondent and despair that a large scale public alpha is ever going to be a worthwhile exercise.
  1. Suspect that developers are just after a bit of pre-release cashflow and aren't going to read any of that crap...and who could blame them?
Additional Information

Hire someone just to sift posts and delete/consolidate as appropriate. And then block the worst offenders from the system. Then delete this post/rant.

Agreed, I think we need immediate fix to Brain v1.0 here.

I'll repeat myself but I think that changing the attitudes of people is not job of the developers, so the tracker should be changed instead. When one reports an issue, the usage of search function and adding at least 3 tags should be made obligatory.

This is a huge problem. I like Ezcoo's tags idea. Some people poorly word their tickets, so you don't actually know what they are about without reading them (which you may not do because the title is poorly written).

Thanks for your feedback. We are doing our best, but we aren't able to improve users AI.
