Crashed a helicopter and became inverted on top of a building. I was unable to leave or eject using shortcuts and was not given the option from the mouse menu.

Event Timeline
That's a legacy problem, had that happen before in ArmA 2. May take about 5 mins or till the rotor finally goes off.
I'm inverted in a helicopter on top of a building... being shot at? I dont think we want to wait 5min before we get out! =P
It's a new game, why are legacy issues present?
I've never had that issue even though I've flown hundreds of hours in Arma, weird...
Are you sure that it's legacy issue and not caused by the lack of eject option in aircrafts in general (it's disabled probably because there are no parachutes yet)?
Ezcoo is right.
There no parachute so the eject function for helicopters is disabled, therefore you can't eject from a downed chopper untill the rotors are fully stopped and the helo stop sliding on the ground (get out action becomes available then)
Legacy issues are present because they scale the engine? I don't work on it, don't ask me.
It's just something that happens pretty rarely so it's likely slipped through the cracks.
Sounds like a legacy issue had it happen to me and ~9 guys in a helo while doing ACE2 domi once in ArmA 2, got stuck upside down, crew tried to bail and got chopped up, we were stuck inverted in a burning helo, most intense 10 minutes of our lives.
haha well ok, I didnt know the engine was "scaled" thought it was new. Ground vehicles have eject option (no parachute).... difference being eject keeps the engine running, get out does not. I also did not have the "get out" option, I was just stuck.
I attempted to board a crowded helicopter, I was given option to ride in back, selected it, but I suspect that someone took the slot. Perhaps a database record-locking issue? Meanwhile, I was stuck in the sitting pose on the heli pad as the chopper took off. No amount of stance-change key strokes could get me to change stance. I could rotate using my mouse, but no other movement.
