Sounds like a problem with the sound drivers for your headset, that or it's being strained, try listening to gunfire on Youtube and tell us if you notice anything similar.

Also try lowering the frequency the gunfire is affecting the most, using an equalizer.

Try lowering the MIXER levels via the Logitech Gaming Software to 10 or less to see if that removes the problem.
