I'm getting the same crash also.
I hope someone finds a solution on how to solve this soon.
And another one when trying to load the Infantry showcase. I got to the map/mission briefing screen then hard crash requiring hard reboot.

I give up. I'm spent 5 or 6 hours trying to get into both single and multiplayer missions, with no success at all. And that sucks a lot because I got up way early on a work day to buy the supporter edition. I want to love this game, but I'm not going to waste my time until there's some stability to it.
One more thing...I'm pretty sure the problem is directly related to switching between the 3d renderer and the 2-renderer that drives the map editor. I almost always get the crash when switching between the two.
Hey guys, if this helps I'd like to add that using very similar hardware I'm getting very similar results. I'm able to launch in to some of the single play scenarios for short periods of time. Multiplayer may last a few minutes. But opening the editor is an instant crash. I'm using three monitors and I get blank or garbage on all three.
My Hardware contains:
i7 3930k
ASUS Rampage Extreme IV mobo
ASUS HD7970 DirectCU II TOP stock at 1GHz
I've been able to format my computer five times since the launch of the alpha and not once has it helped. Also, I was able to steal someones GTX670 and the game played fine. I also was able to put my 7970 in to there machine and the game played fine.
