Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I played the inf and scuba showcase.
After that i stopped playing.
I wanted to install my freetrack plus drivers for my PS3 Eyetoy cam (which i use for freetrack) in order to fly the chopper showcase.

... but Arma 3 Alpha doesent start anymore.
i get the desktop loading screen... where the green bar is loading (registering plugins and that stuff)
but after that it just does nothing

SOLVED

workaround:

I tried to trace it back to the status i could play the alpha.
When i checked my programms i noticed that i had 2 versions of FreeTrack installed
(2.2 and 2.1.2)
I installed 2.1.2 because 2.2 just crashed all the time.
After deinstalling 2.2 i can start the Alpha again

Not an ArmA issue, more likely freetrack software conflicts

Since when is a track IR software like freetrack not an arma issue?!

Do you even know how many players are using freetrack with arma 2?

Quote from you:

"When i checked my programms i noticed that i had 2 versions of FreeTrack installed
(2.2 and 2.1.2)
I installed 2.1.2 because 2.2 just crashed all the time.
After deinstalling 2.2 i can start the Alpha again"

So 2.1 and 2.2 can not stay in the same system without causing issues.
Therefore is freetrack software issue, not arma's.

driver conflict issue. Not Arma issue.

good luck with that attitude when the game is released and the several 1000 customers cant start your game.

tell them that it is not arma3 's problem when all was fine with their installation in arma 2

Sure it is caused by freetrack but since when does arma not support Headtrack IR software?

How to report idiots here?

To clear things up. Freetrack is not officialy supported, thus if you have any issue with a 3rd party software which is not officialy supported, you have to conact that software's technical support.

There is a possibility that Arma III will officialy support TrackIR software but for now, all issues with any head tracking sofware have to be solved through the technical support of the current software.

Also please take in mind that this si Alpha and its still heavy WIP.

Thank you for your patience and im glad that you were able to pinpoint a resolve the issue by yourself
