Issue Description:
The death ragdoll system in Arma Reforger feels very unnatural and immersion-breaking. When characters die—especially from clean fatal hits—they often float briefly, delay before collapsing, or end up in stiff, awkward poses.
Main problems I see!
Floaty collapse: Characters appear to hover or drift slightly before hitting the ground, rather than collapsing with proper weight.
Delayed reaction: There's a noticeable delay between the moment of death and when the ragdoll actually starts.
Prone death issues: Enemies who are prone when killed will sometimes twitch, shift, or “phase” slightly before going limp. It looks glitchy and unrealistic.
Stiff or broken final poses: Arms and legs may freeze mid-air or bend unnaturally instead of falling limp with gravity.
Weapon behavior is off: When a character dies, their weapon may fall out of their hands too early or float unnaturally before the ragdoll finishes. It should remain gripped or fall naturally based on how the body drops.
What should happen!
Characters should instantly go limp when killed no float, no delay, just immediate shutdown.
The body should collapse with realistic weight, posture, and momentum, especially when prone.
Limbs should fall naturally and lifeless, without sticking out or freezing in place.
Weapons should stay gripped or fall naturally with the body, not pop out early or glitch.
My request too you guys!
Please update the ragdoll and death physics system to better reflect realistic, physics-based collapse behavior. Right now it feels like a scripted animation rather than a simulation of someone going limp and heavy upon death — which breaks the immersion in firefights.
Thanks for everything you guys do to improve Reforger.
