As pretty much every Console player is currently aware, the performance is absolutely subpar. Unacceptable.
We did some testing, and it seems to be a memory leak of some sort.
When you open storage with alot of items in them, the fps immediately drop and never recover from it even if you are futher then 1100 meters away from the storage.
The more storage with new items you open, the lower the fps get.
The farther you travel on the map, the lower the performance drops.
The more bases you pass, the lower the fps get, but they dont recover when you get farther away then 1100 meters from the base like it used to do.
It almost feels like, your client is remembering assets and items in its RAM, and is not efficient enough in clearing the cache, once you no longer need the data.
Because of this, the loading of assets becomes slower and slower, which eventuall leads to Texture not loading for a whole 5 seconds when you look at them and the fps significantly tanking during those times, it is so severe that you even reach fps lower as 10... On a ps5 pro... i wont even imagine what the game looks like on ps4 atm.
A full restart, INSTANTLY fixes all of that. Performance is back how it used to be.
Until you open the first tent, it loads items and the performance slowly starts to decline.
Restarting your game every 30 minutes seems to somewhat be a workaround to the performance issues..... But you shouldnt be forced to restart your game every 30 minutes....
Something needs to be done. URGENTLY. it is driving people crazy.
