Modded?- No (issue with modding process)

When I attempt to download mods from the server browser with poor download speed(1-3mb/s dips), it cancels the downloads and gives the error "response from the server took too long". No matter how much I retry mods above around 900mb will not download. The only remedy is to go to download history and retry the downloads one at a time. I understand with poor download I cant expect everything to be perfect but I get below 40 ping in game and this issue is extremely frustrating because I have to mircomanage the mod downloads for hours.

I am fairly sure the poor download speed is what causes it at around the 1-3mb/s range as i have internet at 10 and 500mbps that i tested it on and it worked much more smoothly on both.
