Mouse sensivity restore to default in each startup
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hi,

Everytime I open Day Z sensivity (look and aim) does restore to defaults for a unknown reason. Here is what I tried:

  • Save configuration inside the game
  • Modify cfg file manually
  • Set read only flag to cfg file to prevent game override, but game does override even if it cannot write in the file (checked cfg file if changed after opening the game and not)

Hello xbit.
Can you try to disable Steam cloud sync, then delete DayZ documents folder and try to launch the game and let us know if the problem still persists?

Hi,

After making a backup of my old profile in a folder, set steam cloud off and profile files are generated from zero again this seems fixed with the new profile, after setting mouse sensivity game respects it in every game restart. Do you need my old profile file configurations to check why does this happen before I migrate them to the new generated versions? Can I enable again steam cloud or should I wait? Awaiting for new steps from you if needed.

Thank you, this is not needed as we are aware it might occur sometimes.

You could, though please keep in mind that sometimes corrupted setting files can be restored when deleting them and causing further issues.

Geez
