When connecting to a community or official DayZ server (LAN or local included), it will on the backend not recognize if the player has a preferred custom character set up through the in-game menu. A player's initial connection to any server despite having a custom character selected, will rather instead load a randomized survival model and apparel, until the player is killed and respawns with their preferred custom character.

- Simply load in to the server.
- Your character will load with a randomized model and appearance.
Additional Information
- This issue also applies when launching the game, creating a custom character, exiting the game, and connecting through the launcher itself rather than the in-game server browser.
- As far as any "fixes", it's only when your survivor is killed or by suicide that you'll be able to respawn as your custom preferred character model and appearance.

I have noticed the same issue. It would be great to get to know the root cause of this issue. This will affect most players in a huge scale because a lot of players do want to play with their specific character models.
