The Squad based AI desperately need a rework and fix

Issue Description:
The AI squad mates are unbearably buggy and ineffective to the point where they are more of a hindrance than an aid, Probably the most infuriating of which is they regularly don't obey commands. In the case of the "GET OUT" command it doesn't work at all. I have tried this on both soviets and US in many different vehicles and the command does not work at all. Also most of the time they seem to not target enemies unless expressly ordered to do so (even when given the "FIRE AT WILL" command. When being commanded by a player in a squad, their awareness seems to be orders of magnitude weaker than the enemy AI too.

In short here is a full list of issues and bugs i have experienced with AI:

  • Not exiting vehicles when commanded
  • Unable to or late to detecting enemies
  • Sometimes 1 or more of the units are unable to enter a vehicle then bug out, don't move and no longer follow commands
  • 1 or more units walking off and disobeying commands
  • the whole squad walking off and disobeying all commands
  • unable to recruit a new squad after dying
  • not responding to commands to enter gun/mortar emplacements
  • 1 or more units randomly leaving the squad
  • vehicle gunners unable to detect or fire on an enemy 20-50 feet in front of them when the FIA are able to detect and rocket the vehicle from 100+ feet away with ultra fast detection and aimbot accuracy
  • and many more minor issues

In conclusion the state of the squad based AI is catastrophically bad and has made SOLO/CO-OP PVE squad based gameplay essentially unplayable. All of these issues were reproducible through normal gameplay and some even with a 100% reproduction rate. I hope you will look into fixes and/or a complete rework of the squad based AI for the solo and co-op players because as of now it is pretty much unusable. Not just them as the issue persists in online servers too.

As a big Arma fan since Arma 2, the AI in reforger feels like an enormous let down and in some cases game breaking

Additional Information

These have also been tested by others with me in gameplay online and offline with the same results. I have also witnessed widespread issues in the online servers too as these bugs persist in online as well as offline

This should not be tagged as feedback, this is a real huge problem that needs to be fixed.
AI are my biggest frustration in Reforger and makes me want to go back to Arma 3.

Here is some feedback on your issues that might help you fix some of them at least till they fix this.

PPP-I also have this issue a lot, mostly trying to get 10 AI out of a Mi-8, I find it better to command them to defend a short distance from heli and most times they will all get out, if not, command them to follow you. Then rest should get out.

Unable to or late to detecting enemies
PPP-Also see this at times, Enemy AI 5 feet from my AI and they are not detecting each other.

PPP-If any of this happens, try telling your AI to defend the area near you, if they start to run off you have AI in your group that have been left behind somewhere. Follow them and you will find the ones that are missing. then they will work fine. Before AI will get in a vehicle the whole group must first be near it or the command fails.

unable to recruit a new squad after dying
PPP-if you die and respawn about 1k or more from your AI they will no longer have recruit action, or remove from group action. They normally still follow orders.
PPP-if another human player joins your group you could have AI command issues, and if you join a group that another human is in you will not be able to recruit AI. If you have AI and you create a new group you will lose control of your AI.
PPP-going into game master to check on them, i have found they are not in any group anymore, and you can't even select them or delete them. Only fix is to kill them, then rebuy.

1 or more units randomly leaving the squad
PPP-not sure what you mean here but i have seen when i put AI in vehicle as gunner, then remove him from group, then recruit new AI and try to get them to move somewhere, they will start to run off, toward the vehicle i put that first AI into. As if they think he is still in group. sometimes after running toward he for awhile i will see them disappear, but later find that they are at the tank. so they teleported there. kinda like AI from one side of heli will teleport to other side to get in, only these disappearing AI are teleporting 1k or more. odd.

PPP-Would be nice if we could put AI into different groups. and select the group we want to control.
PPP-Also a command on wheel to remove all from group would be nice.
PPP-with this you could remove the AI stranded lost on map somewhere and be able to control new ones fine.
PPP-also this could let us recruit 10, command them to move to one area, then while they are moving there remove them from group, and have them continue while we recruit more to command to a different area.
