Issue Description:
The AI squad mates are unbearably buggy and ineffective to the point where they are more of a hindrance than an aid, Probably the most infuriating of which is they regularly don't obey commands. In the case of the "GET OUT" command it doesn't work at all. I have tried this on both soviets and US in many different vehicles and the command does not work at all. Also most of the time they seem to not target enemies unless expressly ordered to do so (even when given the "FIRE AT WILL" command. When being commanded by a player in a squad, their awareness seems to be orders of magnitude weaker than the enemy AI too.
In short here is a full list of issues and bugs i have experienced with AI:
- Not exiting vehicles when commanded
- Unable to or late to detecting enemies
- Sometimes 1 or more of the units are unable to enter a vehicle then bug out, don't move and no longer follow commands
- 1 or more units walking off and disobeying commands
- the whole squad walking off and disobeying all commands
- unable to recruit a new squad after dying
- not responding to commands to enter gun/mortar emplacements
- 1 or more units randomly leaving the squad
- vehicle gunners unable to detect or fire on an enemy 20-50 feet in front of them when the FIA are able to detect and rocket the vehicle from 100+ feet away with ultra fast detection and aimbot accuracy
- and many more minor issues
In conclusion the state of the squad based AI is catastrophically bad and has made SOLO/CO-OP PVE squad based gameplay essentially unplayable. All of these issues were reproducible through normal gameplay and some even with a 100% reproduction rate. I hope you will look into fixes and/or a complete rework of the squad based AI for the solo and co-op players because as of now it is pretty much unusable. Not just them as the issue persists in online servers too.
As a big Arma fan since Arma 2, the AI in reforger feels like an enormous let down and in some cases game breaking
