Issue Description: After the new update 1.3 I've been crashing more and more frequently where the game will freeze and my Ethernet connection will completely stop responding, causing me to disable then re-enable the Ethernet port, crashes will produce a timeout reason code. Issue begins either immediately after rejoining or 5-10 minutes after successfully joining server and will cause the entire game to freeze and PC Ethernet port to stop responding entirely.

Literally just joining the game, time to crash increased after reinstalling Ethernet port driver but issue still persists.

Also to add, it seems to be either caused by heavy player interaction and being around people, or just loading in for the first time. to prevent me getting kicked I have to disable then re-enable my ethernet port when I freeze and it solves it for a second then keeps trying to do it. checking task manager and the network it's at ~4-5% load each crash, I've seen it as low as 1%. Is this a me problem? or an issue with the game itself?

This issue is still occuring with or without mods. It occurs faster on official servers even after a full uninstall and reinstall of the game

Update: Performed a clean reinstall of the game, the OS, flushed the DNS, changed the DNS address to 8.8.8.8 8.8.8.9 then 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. Issue still persists. The service state GUI shows the ping at 999+ms but all showing green then goes away. Please someone help me with this.

Hello DaddyDank.
This is most likely a hardware or driver issue. The internet cannot fail due to launching our game.

Geez

Hey Geez

This game in particular when I load into a multiplayer server disconnects the E2fnexpress driver in event viewer, event ID is 27. and I also get the error ID here "Name resolution for the name mobile.events.data.microsoft.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded. Client PID 4500."

This happens EXCLUSIVELY when I join a Arma Reforger multiplayer server. It does not matter if I join a modded or an unmodded server. if you could please look into this and get back to me about a potential fix that would be great.
Thanks.

I also get this error code in event viewer as well.
"Faulting application name: ArmaReforgerSteam.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000

This appears to be the sole reason why my game keeps disconnecting, I did not reference that the internet would "Fail" when Launching the game. I stated that it disconnects my ethernet port and ceases all communication. no lights, No traffic. The port shows that it's connected and that I have internet, however; the traffic of the port stops to a dead halt. Please check again and let me know if there is a fix for this on this current version of the game. This has been happening at the launch of 1.3 of Arma Reforger. It has not happened before the new update.

Hello DaddyDank,

thank you for extra information.

when I load into a multiplayer server disconnects the E2fnexpress driver in event viewer, event ID is 27

Arma Reforger does not interact directly with e2fnexpress driver. It uses standard functionality of the operating system it runs on (Windows, in your case) to ensure compatibility with wide range of hardware on the market and there is no special-case behavior specific to one particular vendor or piece of hardware. This has not changed in any way with 1.3.0 update. Therefore, without more definitive evidence, we view correlation between 1.3.0 update and issue starting happening as correlation, but not cause (in other words, there may be more factors that played a role, which we don't know about). Since we're not observing this on other hardware, nor does it appear to be a widespread issue, it seems likely to be something very specific to your setup.

However, doing a quick search for this particular driver and event ID has turned up with some Intel Support Knowledge Base posts:
Network Issues with Intel® Ethernet Controller I225-V
Intel® Ethernet Controller I225-V Suddenly Stops Working with Error: "Event ID 27"

The best we can recommend right now, is to try to follow advice on those and, if that does not help, contact Intel support for help. If there is indeed an issue in Arma Reforger, Intel might be able to provide us with more accurate description of what is the problem, as they are familiar with how their driver works, what is that event ID 27 and, most importantly, whether this is actually fault of the application or driver, or operating system in between those.

I also get this error code in event viewer as well.

This looks like standard application crash. Event Viewer on Windows gathers those from across whole system. Although it is strange that it does not show correct version, listing 0.0.0.0 instead, if you are certain that you were running executable distributed through Steam and verified application integrity, I wouldn't be too concerned about incorrect version number. You can verify version yourself by finding the executable in Steam installation folder, right-clicking on it and selecting "Properties". Then checking tabs "Details" for version number and "Digital Signatures" to see whether the executable was signed by "BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE a. s.".

Application crash itself is unfortunate and we are looking into those as best as we can. However, it does not necessarily relate to network issues you're seeing, and doesn't give us enough information to help with investigation. The best way to help us in case of recurring crash is to send crash report through Crash Reporter application that is launched when such crash occurs, possibly adding anything else that might be helpful into description.

I hope you find this information helpful, and I am sorry we can't give you anything more tangible. Please, let us know if those Intel guides have helped or if you manage to solve the problem with Intel support.

Kind regard,
Martin
