Description

Base building rework where the more your characters skill is towards either the hammer or needle lets say building or precision.. the better your walls are at protecting towards (certain) damage. In the inventory you choose what direction you want your skill to go towards. Allow for precision to repair items to pristine. Industrial zones spawn cement, a cement mixer and rebar. Pipes can now be collected from houses with blowtorch or found for improvised rebar. Blowtorch to make rebar from 4 pipes or more perhaps. Welder?

The fence kit system is good in my opinion I have used it A LOT. I'll say though it does need some tweaks, the watchtowers could make the base building so much better. First the logs on the fence kits clip with each other so that between two fences its easy to close the gap. Now the watchtower walls buildable on all sides and every wall on the watchtower able to be made into a gate. On floor 1 and 2 a stairless roof is craft-able and has to be raided, making standalone bases easy to close in. That change alone would be awesome. High external walls that can be partially clipped into the ground for ease. Middle gate, half wall, wall with window, multiple door sized walls and window kits for boarding up houses and finally reskin the wood. Sorry for the rambling the base building needs to be refined and cement walls need to be in the game. Sheet metal really isn't protecting anyone.
