BattleEye fails to start with DayZ
New, NormalPublic

Description

After the 1.27 update, I started playing (or at least trying to play) more actively. However, when launching the game, DayZ_x64.exe throws the following error in the launcher:

"Unable to access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

This issue seems to be BattleEye-related, as the error appears when the BattleEye service starts.
What I’ve tried:

I reinstalled DayZ and deleted the DayZ folder in Documents. This temporarily fixed the issue for a few launches.

The first time I try joining a server, a popup appears asking if I want to disable BattleEye.
-If I disable BattleEye, I can join the server but get kicked within 1-2 minutes.
-If I wait and don’t disable BattleEye, then press “Join” again after some time, I can successfully join the server, and BattleEye starts normally.
