Description

I've just watched a video on Youtube "NEW BACKPACKS Coming in DayZ 1.22 Update!" channel name Glaz. The comment section is full of people that liked the idea of large and spacious backpacks. On top of what the inventory size was at that point those bags definitely were too large. I can see that the devs may be wanting to go in the direction of survival realism. The game has too many things implemented that worked well with the large inventory so I suggest resizing some of the bags that we currently have while also using a rope or bungee cord to combine with certain backpacks for attaching items to the bags rather than being able to immediately attach items to them.

The field bag should be reverted to 90 slots considering it's enormous silhouette and it should only carry the extra slots that are currently implemented in the experimental. The exact same could be implemented for the mountain backpack with it's previous 80 slots. The drybag backpacks should be reverted to 63 slots and should only have the compass or other smaller items attachable to the straps considering it might have no place for a rope. The combat, tactical, hunter, assault and hiking backpacks could all get the rope/bungee cord attachments allowing for a cooking pot, teddy bear or maybe protective cases and also dry sacks to be attached. Other than the hunter backpack the previous bags should be reverted to their previous sizes.

Certain vests should return or be resized. The vests have pockets and would make sense if they carried the space that they used to but not allow for rifles 24 slots and up to be carried in them. Maybe backpacks could only allow for one 24 slot rifle or larger rifle to be placed inside.

The current inventory doesn't work for the game even with the slot attachments, I know there were are a majority of people that thought the previous inventory was too large during the inventory nerfs experimental. The majority of people that had those opinions are the same people that didn't account for how it would affect building and raiding of bases and also getting cars assembled.
