Issue Description: Since the performance difference is extremely big depending on quality preset, I think performance mode should be the standard option which the game starts with. There could also be a forced selection between the two at the game beginning, explaining for example "performance mode offers slightly worse quality, but a lot better FPS". And vice versa for Quality preset.
I think it'd make the casual experience a lot more enjoyable. 30fps vs 60fps is a huge difference.
