Request to Implement Server Listing Limitation in DayZ Client
Reviewed, NormalPublic

Description

Dear DayZ Development Team,

I am reaching out to report an issue affecting the DayZ community servers in Asia. It appears that the server list is being manipulated by a large number of fake servers registered under the same IP address. In some cases, hundreds of fake server entries are being created, overshadowing legitimate servers. As a result, players are unable to find and connect to legitimate servers, as the server list is overwhelmed with these fraudulent listings.

This issue is severely impacting the gaming experience and has made it difficult for legitimate community servers to be discovered, especially in the DayZ Asia region.

I would like to request that a strategy be implemented on the DayZ client to address this problem. Specifically, I suggest limiting the number of servers displayed from the same IP address. For example, the client could be configured to show a maximum of 5 servers from a single IP. This would help mitigate the impact of fake server registrations and improve the user experience.

We hope this measure can be considered to ensure a more fair and functional server listing for all DayZ players.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
