It's already clear that the server doesn't use the lifetime of vehicles (default 3 second).
While partially damaged wheeled vehicles sitting in the forest is one thing, a boat left out in the middle of the ocean is another. The boat may never be found.
Adding a true lifetime to all vehicles will help prevent hoarding and lost vehicles and will make the overall game experience better.
Just here to agree. Within the first week or so of the update, it was relatively easy to find a boat (at least in Sakhal). But after that first week, I’ve not seen a single one across multiple servers.
I think that boats should despawn if not moored in some way (perhaps a parking function.) too many boats left out in the middle of the ocean on Sakhal and not spawning on the shore again.
