Overall I Like the change to only being able to spawn default kits. I think it was needed if for nothing than to reduce the explosives spam.
Personally i would like to see some additional changes. One of the issues that people often cite against the Command Truck is how it's often used as a glorified fast travel or they take issues with the ranges it's most often used.
Often it's parked close to a point within 300m, this isn't best practice in theory, as players on the defense should not have too much of an issue finding it within that range. In practice it can be much harder for the average player to find the truck even if they are looking for it, as smart players will find bushes and dense areas to hide the truck.
I purpose a couple changes.
First would be to have a "deployed model" when the truck is deployed. Command trucks on both sides have antennas and
communication arrays attached. I would like to see these fully extended when the truck is deployed. This would increase the visible distance at which a truck could be seen, and would make it easier to spot when hidden in a bush or dense forest.
Second would be to attach fuel as a larger resource for the truck. I would like to see the CT required to be on to function. Meaning that you can only use the CT's ability's if it's fueled and running. This would increase the noise and make the truck easier to find, it would attach a window for the truck to be used, and it would require the truck to be fueled or refueled which increases risk and chances of detection. This would encourage use of lesser used tactical vehicles like the fuel truck and create a larger foot print of operations.
Both of these changes would make the CT less static and would force it be moved further out to reduce detection while also requiring it to be managed over time rather than just dropped and forgot.
Ideally i would like to move towards command trucks being used in conjunction with other vehicles and having a smaller scale player built area like a FOB or staging ground. I would like the ideal CT range deployed between multiple bases within attack range somewhere closer to the 600m - 800m range.
I imagine a Command Truck set up on a supply point or with other vehicles like a fuel truck, Armory truck, or even a construction/transport.
Squad leaders would set up for an assault with Radio backpacks closer to the front line positions creating a larger front line. This could give you alot of resources as an attacking force, but the downside being that if you are found out your whole attack could be compromised. Vehicles would more often be used in convoys or going in and out of the area and would be more open to attack during transitions. logistics would require more than just supply running. Especially if fuel was a less plentiful resource overall.
