Scope ranging conflicts between ADS and non-ADS
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When you have a scoped weapon (not sure if this is the case for non-scoped); the weapon's ranging changes if you are using the scope or not (in this example video; it switches between 200m and 800m depending on if I am using ADS or not).

This doesn't make sense. There's ONE setting for a weapon's range.

There migh be an issue for weapons who can use two aims (e.g. the crossbow with a scope; which lets you use the iron sights and the scope); but as it stands I believe this is a bug for scope only weapons like the Tundra I'm showing in the video.

The issue is that this creates a conflct; the player might think their weapon is set to one range and fail to notice that thee range changes when ADS.

According to the developers, this works as designed.

Ok. Personally I think it's counterintuitive and took a bit of frustrating experiences to figure it out.
Thanks for looking into it anyway.
