Comments and Ideas for Enhancing Arma 3's AI Behaviour
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hello Everyone,

I've always like the Arma games, and I still think Arma 3 is one of the best. I value Bohemia Interactive's degree of realism and meticulous attention to detail in this game. But I felt that there were certain recurring problems with AI behaviour that could be resolved, so I wanted to get community input on these as well as offer some recommendations.

  1. Issues with AI Pathfinding: AI pathfinding is one of the biggest issues I've run with. When navigating through urban surroundings or past barriers, AI units frequently become stuck or choose inefficient routes. Does anyone else have this experience? I think that making the AI more adept at managing intricate environments might greatly enhance gameplay.
  1. AI Combat Tactics: AI units frequently don't seem to be able to use cover wisely or decide when to engage foes. For instance, they frequently enter open spaces quickly without assessing the danger. Is there a way to make this part of AI behaviour better, please? Maybe Bohemia could use more advanced AI decision-making techniques during fighting.
  1. AI Communication & Coordination: This is another area that needs work, particularly when it comes to team-based situations. Sometimes AI systems don't react to directives quickly enough or collaborate with other units efficiently. Exist any options or mods that could enhance the dynamics of an AI team?

Please share your opinions and experiences with me regarding these matters. Do you have any particular enhancements in mind for AI behaviour? Let's talk about possible fixes and perhaps even come up with a [ httpx://www. igmguru . c o m /oracle-training/snowflake-training | snowflake ] group recommendation for the devs.

Thank you in advance.
