So, at the beginning of the "Never Say Never" mission, your player squad dismounts an M113 due to an ambush,
after said ambush, you push through to the beginning of the town you need to take before hitting the command post.
However, the AI Squad Leader decides he has a better plan, once he walks up to a particular set of knee-height fences set up in the fields to the right side of the road,
he decides to simply tell the entire squad to hold fire repeatedly(this doesn't stop them from firing for some reason),
and starts circling around the set of fences forever, never stopping it, and the entire squad of course, follows him.
For some reason this is exclusive to the player squad as the other AI squad that is helping you in the assault is completely fine.
Even if I go through the mission and complete it entirely solo, the AI squad leader still stays there, circling the fence line, occasionally ordering me to regroup.
Not sure why this is happening.

- Start "Never Say Never" in the campaign mission screen
- Press Briefing Start(doubt this matters) and watch the briefing fully
- Press Continue, sit around in the APC while you drive, I did steal the binoculars from the APC though I doubt it matters
- Once the ambush begins, dismount the APC as soon as the squad leader tells you to(because you're impatient), and start pushing up on the right side of the road.
- Kill enemies, stay alive, destroy the SPW-60B that's there, and start pushing into the town.
- Notice that as you start pushing into the town entrance proper, your SL decides he'd rather not risk his life for West Germany and instead start circling around an incredibly uninteresting, completely dull, utterly abhorrent set of fences(Poor East Germany Woodwork).
- Try downing him with grenades to see if it fixes him(it won't), try restarting to a previous save(won't work), only a full reset of the scenario seems to fix it.
This is without any mods, running only Glob Mob, on performance branch 2.16.152
Not really certain what is causing this, but I can say I did not have music initialize properly the first time through(and also after a press of "restart") and only had music(and this issue not occuring) after fully retrying the mission after finishing it via "Replay" on the campaign mission select screen.
I also may or may not be "really good"(read: bad) at this game and I saved after I killed a couple enemies just to ensure I didn't have to deal with those same enemies yet again if I died, and I may have loaded that save which could've caused this happenstance(though I'm pretty certain I only reloaded from the first auto-save the game performs when you get ambushed).
Event Timeline
Update: this happened yet again even though I thought the restart fixed it, instead the squad leader does the same thing but in the middle of town after clearing it, deciding that the squad needs to get some more exercise in and has them running up and down a short stretch of the main road.
Try fully restarting the mission instead of loading from a previous save. This may reset the AI behavior and prevent the squad leader from getting stuck in the looping pattern. Additionally at Expertsmind, ensure that no mods are running, as they could be affecting the mission. If the problem persists, consider replaying the mission from the campaign selection screen after finishing it once.
Peep my update post, also I am absolutely certain I have no mods loaded as the launcher itself says "Launch -- Optional DLC loaded" and nothing else.
