Improve support for direct "steam://" links
Feedback, NormalPublic

Description

Hello,

We've been unable to create a direct Steam link to connect directly to a DayZ server since around 2022. There are two possible approaches to steam://, neither of which works:

  1. The "steam://connect/195.82.158.114:11000?appid=221100" method opens the Steam server browser. Unfortunately, this method returns the following error: "Unable to connect to the server, the application ID specified by the server is invalid."
  2. The second method is more conventional: "steam://run/221100/+connect 195.82.158.114:11000". This method does launch the DayZ launcher, but without a direct connection. The "+connect" launch option is taken into account, but the launcher does not attempt a direct connection.

It would be interesting to make the second method functional with "steam://run", since the launcher launches with this second method. All that's needed is for the launcher to attempt a direct connection to the server when it detects the presence of "+connect [IP]:[Port]" in the launch parameters. Curiously, this method worked in the past, but now seems totally broken.

(The IP used is that of an official DayZ server, which explains the absence of censorship).

Thank you in advance for considering this request,
