Built a base on DayZ EU - DE 1239 46.251.235.4:10400

We've ran into two bugs. Firstly I built the base while my friend was offline. I put a 4 digit code lock on the door (code 7865). I went in and out of the base locking and unlocking it without an issue then logged off and messaged my friend the code. He went in and out a few times no problem, but when I logged back in the code wouldn't work. I assumed he'd changed the code for a joke so messaged him he hadn't. Then I guessed he must have accidently changed the code so tried a few variants of it with no luck. I therefore had to break out of my own base costing me (60 shots of m16, 10 shots of deagle, 20~ shots of moslin, 1 full hatchet, and 4 sharpening stones, plus the blanks and the nails to make the gate. I finally broke the bottom half of the gate but interestingly when I picked the code lock back up the code read 7865.

Secondly, I've rebuilt the base, and went and sourced a canopy tent and tried to place inside my base (double door car garage) but could not deploy. I assumed perhaps the building is too small to spent a great deal of time collecting 50 small sticks to build a shelter inside to have some kind of storage. Plenty of room inside for a shelter and have seen videos of players placing both canopy tents and shelters in these garages but again, cannot place inside my base.
