DayZ on Linux (Steamdeck) sudden 0x00020009 error on every server
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hi,

I usually play on a community server with no mods. The game worked acceptably over the past 2 months.

However, today I tried to join like I always do, and I got this error message: 0x00020009.

This is on every server now, both community and official. There were no changes to the settings on my network.

I’ve tried restarting the game, restarting my router, using my phone data, deleting the data folder (with config) and checking file integrity, and finally reinstalling the whole game.

The error persisted.

I have read that there was an issue with this error in the past and thought you might want to know. The game is now unplayable to me.

Thanks,
Peter

Hello, i am also a linux proton experimental user who can no longer login to any servers. I get the 000200009 error every time. This is 1.24, as of Feb. 26th after downloading steam proton updates this morning. Played all day yesterday and had a fine time, today it is broken.
Edit, Proton 8.05 worked and i am able to join a server.

Hello everyone.
Currently we do not officially support proton, linux or steamdeck. Therefore there is nothing I can do for you at the moment.

Hi Geez, thanks for responding. I’ll try the fix from Sideburn. Take care.

Peter

Just for the record, this solved the problem.
