Then Battleye comes up with a error asking if I want to join but without Battleye support so i select Yes and can get into a official server but the game kicks me out after 10seconds.

Additional - Downloaded Steam onto my work laptop and tried to get in and it worked fine.
I was able to join Dayz fine but still unable to join using my main computer

Even rolled back the nvidia drivers and still same issue.

Steps To Reproduce

All i did was close Dayz.
Update the latest graphics drivers.

Then tried dayz again and got that error.

I have uninstalled, completely wiped and removed all the mods from the workshop and PC.

I am having this same issue. My son plays Dayz n a laptop next to me and he is playing just fine. Just started this morning.

It appears to be a battleeye issue.

Okay I have a fix. You have to open c programx86 steam steamapps common Dayz
Then right click dayz_be
Show more options
Properties
Compatibility
Run as administrator
Apply

Do the same for Dayz.exe
Also in security select your account
Edit
Full control and apply

When starting my game with BattlEye enabled, I get the following error message: “Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item.”

This is likely caused by you trying to use an unsupported Windows 10 Insider build. While we try to support the latest builds as fast as possible, there can sometimes be delays related to a number of factors. Until >then you will have to downgrade to an official public build of Windows 10.

I managed to get it working.
Wasnt easy

I reckon it was Battleye still.

System Restore also didnt work

I did the following.
Unsubscribed from all mods.
Had to uninstall and completely wipe everything, server logs, games logs etc etc etc
Completre wipe and even checked all hidden files and removed all references to Day, Bohemia and Battleye folders.

Then i reinstalled everything and it woirked.

Thing is, players shouldnt have to go through this crap for no reason.
Again, Experimental worked but the main game did not.

Hello, after never having encountered this issue before since installing the game just under two years ago, it arose about 5 mins ago. I tried the adding of permission like stated for DayZ and BE exe but same result. I'm now runing the steam files verification and its decided to re-download 1.2 GB of something.... will pop pack here to update if issue is revolved or to complain some more. I don't want to have to reinstall the whole thing... we shall see. This just messed up my play date! not happy at all :(
