G sync deactivating on character menu
Awaiting internal Testing, NormalPublic

Description

As title says, since 1.24 dropped at a server restart or when I exit to the character menu g sync stops working on my monitor. The only way to get it working again is to relaunch the game from the vanilla launcher and load directly in. I’ve tried:

-Updating to the latest nvidia driver
-Verifying dayz game files
-Deleting and reinstalling dayz
-Forcing g sync on through the nvidia control panel
-Forcing frame rate lower than my monitors refresh rate through nvidia control panel
-playing on an official server with no mods
-using boarderless window and full screen modes
-setting vsync on and off in the dayz menu

After trying all the above g sync still turns off in the character menu. Also I’d like to note that being on the vanilla launcher and just hitting play with no server or mods selected will launch the game with g sync on while it’s loading, but once it’s fully loaded and in the character menu g sync still turns off.

My system:

-Rtx 3070ti gpu on latest driver (551.52)
-Asus tuf gaming monitor 1440p 144hz g sync compatible (VG27AQL1A))
-9700k cpu
-32gb ram
-Samsung 970 m.2 ssd
-Windows 10 home (all latest updates installed)

Event Timeline

Quick update, I decided to run DDU (display driver uninstaller, I’m sure everyone knows what that is but just in case, it completely removes any files related to your selected gpu) and do a clean install of the latest nvidia driver. Unfortunately however the problem still persists.

Any update on this?

I have several friends with nvidia cards and g sync compatible displays experiencing the same issue. I would imagine that anyone using a g sync compatible display is having this issue but probably unaware as this is a bit tricky to spot unless you have the option to turn on the g sync indicator in nvidia control panel activated. Has anyone actually taken a look at this yet?
