What solved it for me was to check "Buldozer" checkbox and Start the game using Play in DayZ Launcher.

I expected to get into the main menu (just to exit again). But what happened was that I got into a map but I could only see water and some mountain skyline in the distance. I had a sort of red dot in the middle and I could move around over the water using mouse and WSAD keys.

Anyway, I exited this mode, hitting Escape. Game closed. I unchecked the "Buldozer" checkbox in the DayZ Launcher and started the game again using Play.

I picked my normal character I've been using all the time and started the server I wanted to get into and now it works.

In this state Game does not connect to the server so the problem is ALWAYS and a BLOCK. I might get it again.. I can't say it's not reproducible.

After getting this error I played an hour with this character one another server, but decided to try to work this out and killed him just to be in a as similar situation as I would be compared to where I left off with this character from my desired server.

It must be some desync of something causing this problem.

When I get this error there's not the usual 1min and 15sec to sync the character between servers.

After unchecking buldozer first in the DayZ Launcher - the game starts and I am able to connect with the extended wait time 1min 15 secs.
