🎄 Hello guys and merry Xmas! 🎄

I'll drop this here, hope it gets considered.
By vanilla defaults the radius for the territory flag is 60m.
As by the example below, that's generally a huge area for a player base.



One of the main problems of console community servers is that players overbuild, watchtower castles more often than not are the norm, until servers suffer heavy performance issues.
While we can as server owners add server rules limiting the amount of overall fences & towers players are *allowed* to build, that of course comes down as an imposition.
This could be easier if we could have, as we do with FlagRefreshFrequency & FlagRefreshMaxDuration, a parameter in globals.xml that allow us to set the REFRESHER_RADIUS ourselves, and from there asking our community to keep 1 flagpole per base.
It would be incredibly better for players to respect that.

Those two examples below are 30m radius. Pretty easy to notice how that's still an area that allows an 8x12 perimeter while being 4 times smaller than the vanilla default radius.




PvP servers could have them big enough so that bigger factions need more flagpoles, which would keep engagement active (more time spent in gathering materials and pvp visibility from the flagpoles )
RP based servers could have a 15m that allows players to build inside houses.

Please do consider this. Of the few people I helped lately, a lot were over 2k fences / 750 watchtowers in their servers, and the Nitrado single option we got is no help for how easy is to get their networking to bottleneck.

great idea for both pvp and pve servers ...
we already have to impose to many rules some times to make our servers run and play out how we want it so this would make it very simple to explain to our communities and much less off putting.
60 meters is a huge area !

Any info if adding REFRESHER_RADIUS to globals is being considered to be added to next release?
Please?

I love this idea; I had a player base big box, and it was causing lag in that area. It would help a lot of servers if this was implemented.

This a great idea, as a very high population 50 slot PVE server owner on console (PS4/5), one of the hardest tasks is getting players to build in existing structures or keep their bases small. Since we do not have high or unlimited bandwidth, this is one of the areas that we need more control over, to keep the server less laggy and more playable as we approach 30+ players. We are able to control the amount of storage a player has somewhat, but we cannot control the size of the bases or amount of watch towers or how high they build them. This tool would be very useful, and would be used I am sure by 70% of the community server owners! Excellent idea and awesome forward thinking!
