When dropping multiple kits in one place, you are only able to pick up one off the ground. The other kits that are there can no longer be picked up, and do not show up in vicinity. When you look at the kits on the ground, the name of the kit will show up but there is no prompt for picking up the kits.

This has happened to myself and friends multiple times. No amount of re-logging will fix it.
