I reinstalled Dayz for the first time in like 3 years and am running into this error saying "it looks that the application configuration file is missing or is corrupted. Please use Steam to re-download or repair corrupted files (verify integrity of game cache). I have re-installed the game 3 times now to fix this and even moved it to a different hard drive. I have also verified in game cache multiple times to no avail. I saw a suggestion to remove the %appdata% folder and still verifying after that was removed; however I'm still receiving this error.

The error goes on to say

Message: Configuration system failed to initalize

Message: Unrecognized configuration section startup.

When I look there and even compare it to a friends they have the exact same line <startup>

I'm not sure how else to fix this, my drivers are up to date as well. Any help would be much appreciated.
