Would be interesting to have something that we can use to escape the helicopter when A. It’s getting shot at B. It’s on fire and realistically don’t have enough time to land and jump out C.to air drop people secretly

I don't believe it was common for pilots and infantry to wear parachutes when in helicopters. The prop wash would make them ineffective.

Now they all didn’t just wear parachutes they would normally wear them if it was a drop, usually they would just drop them off or let them rope down either way this is more of a convenience thing really just something that would be interesting in gameplay even, and it still realistic

Replying to Nocturia. You are correct that it’s not common for flight crew to use parachutes (pilot, co pilot, crew chief or gunners). But it was and is very common for infantry to do helicopter free falls. And military chutes tend to fully open atleast 20-40 feet away from the aircraft after jumping. (There is many YouTube videos on the internet where you can checkout 82nd Airborne doing jumps from UH-60’s
