Why would a jacket be ruined after one shot ? even if it penetrated, the clothing would have only 2 holes.

it just doesn't make sense

Sometimes you get hit with a powerful round and your plate carrier is pristine -> worn/damaged. But your jacket is ruined

I guess it is ok if a backshot's all palets hit the thorax, then you have 8 holes in your jacket and it can be considered ruined

In my opinion clothing should never be ruined by one single hit.
