no steps needed. i often get the error before the loading countdown is completed to join a server and get kicked back to the character's avatar screen. other times it's up to 30 minutes before it does the same crash

Additional Information

pc: asus x570 TUF Plus, AMD 5950x, 64gb RAM, 2x 2tb corsair mp600 pro m.2 ssds, Radeon 6950xt, 850W PSU (rated 850W continuous, about 1100W peak tested)
connection: Cox Cable Gigablast, 931mbps download 35mbps upload, average ping from omaha to chicago 21ms, average jitter <6
network: all gigabit ethernet, cat5E cables.

i have tried shutting down every single thing i can in the background of my pc, to just steam and the normal windows system tasks, no change.

again, this is random. some days it plays 5-8 hours with zero interruption. other days, i get kicked every 1-10 minutes for the duration. network monitoring shows no spikes in send or receive activity.

this is a super high end system on the fastest internet available in my city currently. my network is NOT timing out.

i have also tried to change my steam download location from Minneapolis to Chicago, since i saw in some forums that this was an option that helped people. i get the same error using both the steam dayz launcher and DZSA launcher with nearly identical results.

Event Timeline

update: i am planning on testing my system with an AC wifi card in the next 24 hours, as i have read that sometimes using unmanaged switches can cause issues that lead to this error. i will update this ticket. please allow a few days of testing, since the symptom was VERY random, and sometimes allowed full days of play without issue. consider this issue paused until i update. thank you.

ps, i friggin love this game!

update: attempted to use a wifi card, which bypassed most of the network hardware, as the router is directly connected to the modem. it was ok for about 2 hours, and then started disconnecting every 30 seconds consistently. i went to reboot the network hardware, and the modem then failed to come back up. i went to my ISP provider and got a new modem and set it up. i tested today for about 1.5 hours and it was ok. please keep this issue paused, i will test further in the next couple of days, putting in as many hours as i can. it may have just been a failing modem on my end, but i would like to make sure so that we can rule out any of my hardware if the issue does persist. thank you.

Geez changed the task status from New to Reviewed.Sep 4 2023, 10:23 AM

i believe i will consider this matter closed. after replacing my network hardware, i have had absolutely zero issues with gameplay other than the normal stuff that all dayz players experience. thank you for your attention, and keep up the good work!
