I don't know if it is intended, but if you take a BTR and blow its tires, you won't be triggering mines when passing on them anymore.

I tried with two other vehicles, the jeep and humvee. The jeep triggered the mine, but the humvee only triggered it the third time I tried to roll on it with a blown tire.
