Hello,
I'm not an expert in ballistics, so if this is how a military helmet is supposed to work in real life, then I have nothing else much to say.
If not, here is the issue. I noticed that even at point blank range with high caliber bullets (7.62), bullets will get blocked/ricochet off helmets almost indefinitely if you aim on top of it/at an angle, or sometimes randomly.
The worst case is with downed ennemies. Below are two screenshots of an unconscious AI. I unloaded a full mag of dragunov in his helmet (you can see the bullets dents), and it didn't even leave him a single scratch. Still breathing, waiting to be reanimated. I mean the guy should have severe head trauma after all that banging on its head.
Aren't these new helmets giving a little too much protection ?
