My game sound suddenly stops working after I load in and played for roughly a minute.
If I launch the game my sound works fine in the main menu and if I load into a server the sound is normal for a short period of time. But there is always a crackling sound at some point and after that I have no sound except for the same crackling sound every couple of seconds.
I already checked if my game files are broken which was not the case, I deleted the DayZ config file to see if that would fix it and I made sure that my audio drivers where up to date (which they were) and I even reinstalled the game but the issue has not been resolved.
Also, I have this issue only with DayZ, everything else is working just fine.

Hello Nicolas420.
What kind of audio setup are you using? Any external soundcard? And do you switch between speakers/headphones while in game by any chance?

SOLVED: I used the microphone of my headphones as my input device and had some other input device, it says Realtek High Definition Audio, deactivated. After activating it and setting it as my input device I no longer had any issues with my game sound.
