The game crashes pretty much as soon as the mod loading screen is shown, screen goes to black then crashes. The only option I have is to try and run it with DayZ SA Launcher, which seems to work although I would prefer to be using the official launcher.

Unfortunately there is no crash dump file generated so we have nothing to determine what the issue could be caused by.
Have you tried to run the game without mods as well?

without meaning to sound abusive but did you read what I put above, I've tried all and any variation of mods, with and without, with different launchers with and without admin rights, on different drives and also reinstalled and redownloaded all. I'm at the end of my tether and of my limited technical knowledge, hence why I fall back to help from here?

Did not specify if you have launched the game without mods upon reinstall or if you simply reinstalled everything and launched it with the mods again, therefore we had to ask to make sure. (As some players sometimes reinstall everything with the mods but do not try to launch the game without mods/without installing them first).
Also as I have mentioned, unfortunately there is no crash dump which means we have nothing to analyse the cause from.
Can you try to do a clean install of your software drivers/OS?

I have tried a complete reinstall of OS, tried it with no mods installed and the game being the first non system item installed, i cant even get the game to run long enough to generate a crash report!
