Hello, I'm writing to report a major bug in Dayz 1.21 (PC). Explosives (PVP) don't seem to work properly anymore.

When a grenade explodes near players in the same place, for example, some players will die, others will take a few HP or even some will have no damage inflicted...

The M79 grenade launcher with 40mm explosive no longer works at all, the explosions work one time out of 3 and don't deliver the damage correctly... which makes it unusable!

Landmines also apply random damage, and it "s sometimes possible to explode on them without taking any HP, having clothes that are just a little worn...

2 out of 3 perfectly landed shot does almost nothing (sometimes low/mid health reduce, sometimes nothing). And those are not within 3 to 5 meters shots, like right under the feet, or right inside the small room. And players just get away, like "40mm? I eat those on breakfast". Can it be connected with the recent sound changes maybe (probably not but still). I didn't notice such flaws at the beginning when it was only added. I tested it alot there, in game experience, and it was good. You shot between 2 ppl - 2 gone, or a person on the ladder - gone. Now - it's a lottery, and chances are less than 30% for you. So really, could you check that thing guys? But if you test it, don't go with AI, take at least 2 ppl to reproduce more/less ingame situations.

Yeah i've stepped on landmines on official, and when I woke up my legs were broken & my clothing got slightly damaged but I was still full health

Hello everyone.
We have tested this thoroughly but we could not find any issues.
The players always have received some damage from the explosives.

Regarding the explosion, many factors matter here, like where did you shot, in which position, angle, how and where other survivors are standing, if there are some other objects, etc.
However, we have not encountered any issues that player would not receive any damage at all.

Thank you for your reactivity. I am amazed to learn that this does not show up in your tests... I don't understand how this is possible. Did you really look at the gameplay extracts provided? We can clearly see the damage distribution problem. It's about a grenade launcher with a 40MM explosive grenade! it's an extremely deadly and destructive weapon of war, nobody survives it even with a Tier 3-4 gear (bulletproof vest and assault helmet) you could possibly survive with a full set of chain mail I'd like to believe.

In the extracts provided above, it's clearly a question of a direct shot at the enemy, it's not normal to see a character in pants and t-shirt receive an explosive grenade at his feet without taking ANY DAMAGE! Have you changed the blast radius? Is it still in the shape of a circle?

How do you explain tehepicduckkilla's anecdote? We step on landmines without taking any damage... wtf

He said "The players always have received some damage from the explosives." That can mean they received very minor damage aswell, and most likely it is. After they tested it and said "no" it's a dead end. Your only option is to patch config and increase eiter radius or damage of explosion (or both)

We have gone over this again and there are inconsistencies in the amount of damage the players receive and we want to look into that.

Take a look at this moment (devs stream, time - 00:50:30 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1847745324). Shot lands right under the legs when 2 players are almost in the same spot, and the 3rd one is 1-2m behind. One dies insta, 2nd survives (probly 1st took all the debris and 2nd was little behind him), 3rd (Scotty) has emty red cross (health). But in the same time 2nd player supposed to be dead, as he was closer to the center of the explosion (Scotty has empty red cross for a sec), and the shot itself was very good, right under the legs of 2 players in one spot.
