Description

I am currently experiencing a connection issue to the community server I regularly play. Everytime I try to connect I get the message CONNECTING FAILED (0x00010001) 'could not connect to the server because it is unreachable'. I am able to join what seems like every other official and community server without issue except one, my friends are connecting to it also without problems.

If I connect my xbox to a mobile hotspot using its 4g data it will then allow me to log in. But when I reconnect to my wired home broadband I can then not log in again and receive the same error code (0x00010001)

I can also log in to the server using 'cloud gaming'.

There seems to be a problem with my connection to this particular server, I'm completely out of ideas on how to fix it. I've reset router, cleared save game data, contacted my isp to no avail. It must be a server side issue, if anyone can help I would be much appreciated. Can't play with the friends I have been with the last 3 years and not sure what I can do to fix.

While xbox connected using home broadband I can't connect to one server I regularly play. Reproducibility for me is always but it is an issue between my home broadband connection and only the one server.

Hello Mattt84.
Is the mobile using a different network/provider than your home broadband? As that would suggest an issue with the network.

Yes when I connect to hotspot it is a completely different connection. It doesn't make sense that I am able to connect to every other server apart from one. It's seems like there is an issue between my home broadband connection and this one server. After a lot of looking it seems other people have had the same issue with being able to connect to other servers bar one.

I have seen posts with the same issue as myself, some of them are 2years old some only a couple months. Just wanting to know what I could try to do to fix this or if there is anything the server owner could do? As in resetting my connection or any server side configurations that would only be affecting my connection to that server. Character stuck in database or similar issue. Or if possibly contacting my isp to see if there is anything they could change?

Is the server hosted in London? If so, that will be the issue. This is a Nitrado issue.

I asked them to move both my servers to Germany and it fixed the problem.

I'm having this issue on pc, only 1 server I'm unable to connect to, comes up with the same error message as OP, I've tried deleting all files and then verifying the game to reinstall it, even uninstalled and completely reinstalled the game, still can't get on, the server was recently changed to a dedicated box and moved from around middle of US to the east coasr specifically to allow for better ping for myself and other EU players, but I have been on since that happened and then all of a sudden can't get on, the server owner even wiped the server to see if that would get me back on and it didn't work , this has been an ongoing problem for over a week now, other people have been able to connect, but I couldn't connect on either of my accounts or from my partners computer

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

I’m having this issue too, can’t play any community servers at all apart from Australian ones even though I’m based in the UK.
