Steps To Reproduce

Play Dayz for 20-30 minutes.

There's nothing specific that'll set it off. I can be running in a field, fighting a zombie, eating etc. It'll eventually happen.

Additional Information

I've previously:

  • validated files
  • set all dayz*.exe to run as admin
  • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth [ok]
  • sfc /scannow [ok]
  • Reset windows
  • checked memory with windows memory diagnostic (standard) and got all clear.

Hello fredX.
Please try the following:

Verify the game data through Steam and delete the configuration files when prompted to do so (make sure Steam cloud sync is disabled for DayZ before doing this) - you can also delete the config files manually by clearing the C:\Users\*username*\Documents\DayZ folder

Open the DayZ launcher
Select PARAMETERS menu
Select ALL PARAMETERS tab
scroll down and check "Bulldozer" parameter
Launch the game
Once launched, close the game
Uncheck bulldozer
Launch the game again without any parameters

Hi Geez,

I followed the steps and am pleased to say I've just completed an hour without any issues so I'd tentatively say this has been resolved. It was quite a short test obviously but it's by far the longest I've gone without crashing since the issue occurred. I will try longer sessions in the coming days but hopefully, this is the end of it.

Thank you for your prompt assistance.
